We went to the service at St Nicolas' again today, and these images come from walking around before and after. The bottom picture is taken looking back north to the southern side of modern greater Jerusalem. The new Hebron road (a bypass built to allow access to Jewish settlements without having to travel the old Hebron Road through Bethlehem) emerges from a tunnel bottom left. The Tantur Institute where we stay ('on a hill between Jerusalem and Bethlehem') is on the rise in the middle distance on the right.
