Two striking arrivals today

The placing of this new gravestone in Haworth Cemetery today on a previously unmarked public grave, fifty years after the burial of the last child in it, is the result of careful work over a couple of years with initiating families, a hugely supportive local Council official, a skilled mason, and several donors; it has been a privilege to support and help negotiate and administer this, including composing the wording.

And at the very same time Deborah's memorial banner was being placed for temporary exhibition through the summer in the Bronte Memorial Chapel in Haworth Parish Church; I'm touched by everything from the work of the original initiators of this project during Bradford Refugee Week to that of the Churchwarden who carefully placed it in a position in which it is framed by the wood of the screen.
